Peripera Peri’s Tint Water No.5 Candy Juice Review

Hello! Peripera Peri’s Tint Water in No.5 Candy Juice has officially become my favourite tint. It is a lovely bright pink tint that brightens up my complexion. Let’s start with the Review!

Packaging

The packaging is pretty with Peripera’s signature girl icon printed on the cap. Reminiscent of a nail polish, it is a glass bottle with a sturdy cap.

There is no stopper, so the doe foot applicator always has a lot of liquid on it. Being glass and containing such watery product, I always have to be careful not to drop this tint bottle.

Colour

In the bottle the liquid looks like a scary neon watermelon pink colour. (I apologise, my photos show it to be redder than reality) However, as you can see on the promotional swatch (below) the tint should give off a bright fushia pink. On my lips, it comes off a lovely bright but natural ‘candy’ pink with one coat. Adding more coats, the hot fushia pink is achievable on my lips, however not as neon as the promotional swatch.

I think if you have pale lips this colour will be more neon and truer in colour to the promotional swatch.

Finish

Usually with water tints it dries out the lips and sadly this tint is no exception. It does dry out the lips but it can’t be helped being a water tint.

Scent/Taste

It may smell like sweet candy to some. However to me, it smells like children’s liquid medicine. That may sound bad but I quite like the smell! Its sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet! No particular taste but it doesn't taste bad.

Lasting power

The stain lasts all day. However the colour does fade a little when eating or drinking.

Price

This tint water contains 6.5ml and I bought it for $6.83USD at Koreadepart.

Pros

Buildable
Long lasting staining power
Nice sweet scent
No bitter taste unlike other tints

Cons

You have to be careful not to drop or spill the bottle
Drying to the lips

Final Verdict

Packaging 4/5
Colour 5/5
Finish 4.5/5
Scent/Taste 5/5
Staining power 5/5
Price 5/5

Overall, 5/5

I am not even close to using up this tint but want to buy more it. I will definitely buy the other colours! I highly recommend this tint! LOVE this tint!

Nature Republic Botanical Waterproof Eyeliner No.1 Black Review

Packaging

The eyeliner is in a simple twist-able pencil packaging. There is also a detachable sharpener located on opposite end of the eyeliner, which is really convenient.

Colour

This eyeliner comes in 4 shades. I have No.1 Black. It is definitely a smokey and intense black. I really like it!

Formula/Application

I haven’t used a pencil eyeliner in a very long time so maybe that is why I am not used to its texture but I find this eyeliner is very hard and drying when applying it onto my eyes. I have to really push and put effort to get a full black line which I don’t enjoy.

Smudgeproof Test

I have really oily eyelids so it is rare to find an eyeliner that doesn’t smudge on me. This eyeliner did smudge a tiny bit but considering all eyeliners smudge on me, it did a very good job at staying put!

Waterproof Test

I enjoy doing a more puppy eyeliner look on myself, which requires eyeliner on lower sides of my eyes. Since I have oily eyelids and also watery eyes, my eyeliner always disappears on the sides of my eyes by the end of the day. This eyeliner stayed put so I was really amazed!

As a test I ran my hand with swatches I used to do the smudgeproof test under the tap (cold and then warm) and tried to wash it off and the lines didn’t budge!  It is indeed very waterproof. It is easily removed with oil based makeup remover.

Price

The product is 3.3cm long. I bought it for $4.39USD at Koreadepart.

Pros

Intense black colour
Smudgeproof
Waterproof but easily removed with oil based makeup remover
Has a detachable sharpener

Cons

Hard and drying when applying

Final Verdict

Packaging  5/5
Colour Payoff 5/5
Formula/Application 3/5
Smudgeproof 5/5
Waterproof 5/5
Price 5/5

Overall, 4.5/5 I highly recommend it to everyone and especially those with oily eyelids like myself! I just don't really like how hard and drying the pencil is.

Innisfree Jelly Tint No.5 Pink Berry Review

Packaging

Good simple packaging. The bottle feels sturdy, closes well and has a stopper to control how much product you want.

Consistency

The consistency of this jelly tint is reminiscent of Etude House Fresh Cherry Tints. It is gel like but not runny/watery and not sticky like lip-glosses. I really enjoy the non-sticky consistency.

Colour/Pigmentation

No.5 is a berry hot pink colour that contains fine iridescent glitter. The pigmentation is amazing. It shows up very vibrant hot pink on my dark pigmented lips! The stain left on your lips after the glossiness disappears is very similar to Peripera's water tint in Candy which is a bright pink colour.

Finish

I was afraid it would be too glossy and glittery, but the finish is very subtle and pretty. It gives a moisturized look with really pretty fine glitter particles.

Scent/Taste

The scent is meant to be a lemon scent. I personally dislike lemon scents and for some reason, the scent and taste strongly reminds me of dishwashing detergent. Because the colour is so pretty, I withstand the unpleasant strong detergent scent/ taste.

Stain/Lasting power

The lasting power is not the best. It does transfer when drinking and or eating so I reapplied it after every meal. It does not seep into the cracks of your lips, having a glossy finish. The stain is very impressive as long as you wait a minute or two after applying to then blot the excess.

Price

Contains 3ml of product and is $6.44USD at Koreadepart. I think that is a bit expensive for a tint, however it is limited edition product.

Pros

Non sticky
Non drying
Subtle glossy/glittery finish
Pigmented
Decent staining power

Cons

Unpleasant lemon/dishwashing detergent scent and taste
Reapplication after meals and drinking is needed.
Limited edition (I think)
A bit overpriced

Final Verdict

Consistency 5/5
Colour/Pigmentation 5/5
Scent/Taste 0/5
Lasting Power 3/5
Price 4/5

Overall, 4.5/5 (If only the scent and taste wasn’t so strong)
I really like this jelly tint and would recommend it to those who don't mind reapplying their lip products.

Innisfree Smart Foundation Perfect Cover (No. 23 Natural Beige) Review

Packaging

Since it only contains 15ml, the tube is very small and is approximately 10cm tall. I like the small tip on the packaging. The squeezable tube makes is easy to control how much product I want which I love.

Formula/Colour

No. 23 Natural beige matches my medium skin tone. The formula is a little thicker than bb cream and more of a thick foundation consistency. It has a sunscreen /old person scent to it. I cannot really explain but I do not like the scent one bit!

Application

It is a thick consistency so it takes a bit of effort to blend into the skin using fingers. I only use a pea size and use a patting motion with my fingers or a brush to get a somewhat natural finish. I find that this foundation can look cakey if you layer it.

This foundation mixed with The Face Shop Aura Control Cream gives off a natural finish with good coverage.

Finish

There are other versions in this Innisfree Smart Foundation line. I chose perfect cover. The finish of the Perfect Cover is matte. It accentuates my dry patches. I recommend those who have dry skin to maybe buy the moisture version or mix this foundation with a moisturizing product.

Coverage

It provides a medium coverage. It is not enough to cover my dark blemishes though.

Lasting power

Oil control for this product is great (I use it in conjunction with the Innisfree No Sebum Powder) It doesn’t move around my face which is good.

Price

This line of foundation was made so that each version could be mixed with each other, hence why it has such little product. It comes with 15g of product and I bought it for $5.95USD at Koreadepart which ends up a decent price.

Pros

Medium coverage
Good squeezable tube for control
Has SPF33 PA+++
Long lasting
Good Oil control

Cons

Unpleasant sunscreen/old people scent
Accentuates dry spots
Broke me out
Thick consistency- can look cakey

Final Verdict

Packaging 5/5
Formula/Colour 2/5
Finish 3/5
Lasting Power 5/5

Overall 2.5/5 Although I said quite negative things about my personal opinion on this product, it has some merit. I think the other versions in this foundation line may be more promising. Perhaps mixed with the Innisfree Smart Foundation Blender, the perfect cover will have a more moisturizing and natural finish.

I am afraid to use it again in case it causes me to break out again. I will find the courage to use it again and update this post if it actually doesn't break me out.
